I have tried,
For far too long.
Spending time as a family,
It’s always happy and great!
Till I open my mouth,
And their eyes fill with hate.
The insults come,
And I can’t fight back.
The regret will arrive,
Just like a slap.
It’s a daily battle,
To stay compliant.
So I made the decision,
To stay silent.
